Welcome to Midwest Speed – Your One-Stop Softball Destination!

 

We’re excited to share the wide range of opportunities available through our softball programs. Below you'll find detailed information about our Midwest Speed, MW Power, and Dome Ball programs.

🔷 Midwest Speed (Year-Round Program – Ages 11U to 18U)

Our flagship program, Midwest Speed, offers a comprehensive full-year club experience. We offer three tiers to meet various competitive levels and family needs:


Program Tiers:

  • Regional: Limited travel, lower cost
     
  • Gold: Moderate travel, increased competition
     
  • National: Extensive travel, high-level competition for advanced athletes
     

What’s Included:

  • 5–6 jerseys, backpack, helmet
     
  • 12–13+ tournaments throughout the year
     
  • 2–3 non-parent coaches per team
     
  • 10–13 weeks of winter training (Nov–Feb)
     
  • Multiple training locations: Rosemount, Maple Grove, Blaine, Coon Rapids, Chaska, Oakdale/NSP, Elk River, North Branch
     
  • Hitting: 5–7 days/week | Fielding: 3–5 days/week
     
  • Dome Ball (Sat & Sun leagues at multiple sites)
     
  • Subsidized pitching (15 weeks) and free catching instruction
     
  • Fall, Winter, and Summer seasons
     
  • College recruitment support

     

Coaching Structure:

  • Regional: Parent coaches encouraged
     
  • Gold: Mix of parent and non-parent coaches
     
  • National: Primarily non-parent coaches with high-level experience

     

🔷 MW Power & 10U Speed (7-Month Program – Sept–March)

These seasonal programs offer focused training and tournament opportunities for younger athletes and those seeking a shorter-term commitment.


Tryouts:

  • Dates: Monday, Sept 8 & Tuesday, Sept 9
     
  • Locations: Osseo HS & Sue Fischer Fields, Burnsville
     

Age Divisions & Teams:

  • 10U: 2 teams (MW Speed)
     
  • 12U: 2 teams
     
  • 14U: 1 team
     
  • 16U–18U: 1–2 teams
     

Program Highlights:

  • 13-player rosters, equal playing time (except in championship games)
     
  • POWER Cost: $2,600 | 10U Speed Cost: $2,200
     
  • Jerseys & hoodies included (bat bags also for 10U)
     
  • Fundraising opportunities to reduce costs
     
  • Weekly practices & 2+ training sessions
     
  • Out-of-state tournaments (Dells & SD – hotel costs covered by families)
     

Training Schedule:

  • Power: Wednesdays in Coon Rapids (5–8:30 PM) & Fridays in Elk River (6–9 PM)
     
  • 10U:
     
    • Mondays: Hitting in Rosemount
       
    • Wednesdays: Hitting in Coon Rapids
       
    • Saturdays: Fielding & hitting in Blaine
       
  • Additional February training at Elk River for all teams
     

Dome Ball Access:

  • Power Teams: 22–26 weeks | 4 sessions at MG & Blaine (Sat & Sun leagues)
     
  • 10U Teams: 13 weeks (MG + Blaine leagues; optional Rosemount Spring League)

🔷 Dome Ball Only Teams (No Tryouts Required – Fall, Winter, Spring)

Ideal for families seeking less commitment or just extra development time during the offseason. Dome Ball teams are formed by age and skill, no tryouts or tournaments required.


Seasons:

  • Fall (Nov–Dec): MG, Blaine, Rosemount | 10U–HS
     
  • Winter (Jan–Feb): Blaine | 12U–HS
     
  • Spring 1 (Feb–March): Blaine | 12U–HS
     
  • Spring 2 (March–April): Rosemount | 12U–14U
     

💲 Cost: $325–$375 depending on location and duration
